A BITE-SIZE book has been released to celebrate the best growers, suppliers, chefs, restaurateurs and vignerons of the Daylesford-Macedon Ranges region.

Titled A Tasty Little Pocket Guide, the book is handy for travel and food enthusiasts. It has been released by Daylesford Macedon Produce.

The group's co-ordinator, Joy Durston, says the book is an ideal way to promote the area's produce.

"It takes tourists right to the farm gate and will help them get the most out of a visit to the region," Joy says.

"The book includes around 80 of the very best food and wine producers and comes complete with a detailed map of the area."

Joy says the pocket guide has been given to overseas travel agents and is sized so that travellers can carry it with them all the time.

"Producers involved think the book is fantastic," Joy says.

"It not only promotes the outcome of all their hard work but it displays their produce in a way they can be proud of."

Joy says the book is for anyone who loves to travel and wants a glimpse into the stories behind the producers and culinary experts in the area.

"It's very handy and the pictures and directory alone are worth the purchase," she says.
