NATIONALS MP and former NSW farm boss John Cobb is the coalition's new spokesman on agriculture, fisheries and forestry.
He replaces Nationals deputy leader Senator Nigel Scullion, who's been shifted to human services.
Opposition leader Malcolm Turnbull announced the moves while unveiling his new shadow frontbench in Canberra.
The Nationals have also regained the shadow trade portfolio which was lost to the Liberals after the last federal election.
Party leader Warren Truss, who served as trade minister in the Howard Government, takes on the shadow trade job.
He will also look after transport, local government and regional development.
Mallee Nationals MP John Forrest will be his shadow parliamentary secretary for regional development.
Overall, the Nationals have retained their level of representation _ three shadow cabinet positions, one junior ministry (NSW MP Luke Hartsuyker in competition policy and consumer affairs), and two parliamentary secretaries.
Mr Cobb, who previously had responsibility for regional development and water security, is a former president of the NSW Farmers' Association.
He will be assisted by Liberal Senator Richard Colbeck as his parliamentary secretary.
In other moves, Victorian Liberal Greg Hunt takes on responsibility for a new mega portfolio of climate change, environment and water.
NSW Nationals Senator Fiona Nash will be his shadow parliamentary secretary for water resources and conservation.
Victorian Liberal Andrew Robb takes on infrastructure as well as assisting Mr Turnbull on emission trading schemes.
Northern Victorian Liberal Dr Sharman Stone is shadow immigration and citizenship spokesperson.
As expected, deputy Liberal leader Julie Bishop is shadow Treasurer.
