SPECTATORS at the Equitana event at the Royal Melbourne Show last night got just a small taste of what's to come in Novermber.
David and Sandi Simons, joined by a vaulting team from Geelong and Sugargum Farm, showed a large Friday-night show crowd just a few of the things they can expect to see at Equitana Asia Pacific, on November 20-23.David and his spectacular paint horse, Bandit, performed a routine which incorporated Western and English riding - from spins to piaffe and pirouette.
Sandi entertained the crowd with her Miniature Horse - the 30-inch tall Octagonal, named after the champion racehorse.
And the vaulting team girls managed to make getting on to the enormous Clydesdale, Rocky, look easy.
Vaulting Victoria President Colleen Kelly said they had been involved with Equitana from the very beginning.
"(Equitana) is great exposure for the kids and recognition for the sport of vaulting as well," Ms Kelly said.
