A FEDERAL parliamentary inquiry charged with solving the crisis in the Murray's lower lakes has again postponed handing down its report after apparently struggling to reach a consensus.
The Senate inquiry into water management in South Australia's Coorong and lower lakes was due to hand down its report on September 30.That deadline was extended until today, but has now been extended until next Friday.
It is understood the members of the Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport Committee have had difficulty in agreeing on the best way to tackle the problems afflicting the River Murray mouth.
