CHARINGA rams sold to $20,000, with a 100 per cent clearance during the Polkinghorne family's annual sale, near St Arnaud, Victoria, today.

The family’s 66 Charinga Merinos sold to a top of $20,000 and averaged $2748, with the top priced ram going to New Zealand wool producer Muller Station.

The 50 Charinga White Suffolk rams sold to $1000 and averaged $635.

The family also offered 50 rams from their Gowandale stud which they bought last year. Thirty-six of these sold to $3250 and averaged $932.

Charinga’s Roger Polkinghorne said the sale was pleasing, especially with the total clearance on the two Charinga studs.
