Country women from across NSW will hold a talkfest in an effort to spread inspiration in rural communities.
This year's Rural Women's Gathering, run by the NSW Farmers Association, will be held in Coonamble on October 17 to 19.
NSW Farmers Association chairwoman for business and trade committee Susan Mcleish says the workshop is designed to enable women to speak up about the issues they face in rural areas.
"We want to spread the word that there are women out there determined to express their views on rural culture," Susan says.
"This is forum to give those women a voice."
Susan says that often women living in the country feel isolated and ill represented, given that the majority of politicians are male.
"This a chance for those women to get the support of other like-minded women and discover what is needed to promote happy women and thus happy families in the community."
The gathering has been running for 15 years and Susan says it's a great opportunity for rural women to learn new skills and gather information on a broad range of issues and topics.
And, with the Minister for Women, Verity Firth, in attendance, any decisions made at the gathering with have a direct link to those in power.
The Coonamble gathering includes three full days of activities with a cocktail welcome and gala dinner and more than 40 workshops for participants to choose from.
Women who would like to attend are encouraged to contact the Association on 1300 794 000.
