QUEENSLANDERS have claimed the title of Australia's biggest sports fans in a nation-wide poll.
The poll's been conducted as a lead-up event for next year's Sydney 2009 World Masters Games which will be staged in October.
The survey of 19-hundred people aged over 35 has found just six per cent of Queenslanders said sport left them cold.
In Victoria seven per cent of respondents weren't interested in sport which rose to eight per cent in New South Wales.
Tasmanians were the least interested with 13 per cent saying they don't watch or play sport.
