THE Australian citrus industry has received 270 confirmed bookings for its annual conference in Griffith, NSW, on Monday.

Conference organisers have urged those who have not registered to do so immediately.

Growers from all over the country will attend the conference, as well as industry researchers, trade representatives, supply chain figures and government representatives.

Organising committee spokesman Frank Battistel said his team had put together a "great conference program" and was eager to show the region to visitors from around the nation.

"Delegates will go away from Griffith having had exposure to some of the industry's most respected experts and scientists, presenting their views on how citrus production can flourish in these challenging times," Mr Battistel said.

The official conference dinner will be held at the Gemini Motel on Tuesday to celebrate 60 years of Australian Citrus Growers since its foundation in 1948.
