A NEW canola variety and two new triticale lines have been released in NSW during the past week.
Canola Breeders of Western Australia released a triazine-tolerant canola, argyle, at Junee Reefs.And at Warialda, near Moree, triticale varieties bogong and canobolas were released.
All three new varieties will be marketed by ABB Seeds in the eastern states.
The company's general manager, Gary Goucher, said argyle was a mid to late-flowering variety suitable for areas with rainfall greater than 350mm.
