CRUDEN Farm was in full bloom yesterday as Dame Elisabeth Murdoch invited hundreds of guests through her cherished private garden.
The spring family fun day and picnic at Dame Elisabeth's Langwarrin property, in Victoria, helped raise money for charities including Alzheimer's Australia, the Mental Health Foundation of Australia, the Royal Society of Victoria and the Sovereign Order of St John of Jerusalem, The HeraldSun reports.
This is Dame Elisabeth's 80th year at Cruden Farm, having arrived there as a 19-year-old bride in 1928.
Yesterday's guests enjoyed the ethereal sounds of the Scottish Gaelic Choir and a brass band's swinging tunes.
