YOU'VE heard of 'roos in the top paddock and bulls in china shops . . . now we have a cuddly koala in the chook shed.
At Yinnar South, in Gippsland, Victoria, Lee-Anne Falkingham recently discovered a koala sitting on a post in the chook run.
After being stared down by the family dog, the koala decided to retreat to the chook shed for the night.
It chose the highest perch and, one by one, the "girls", Maude, Blackie and Cathy Freeman, climbed up to snuggle in beside their cuddly guest.
Lee-Anne reckoned they liked their visitor and even Major General, the rooster, was impressed.
