IT WAS a black and white win for Vanessa Leahy at Latrobe Valley races on Saturday.
The student’s traditional Derby Day style saw her win the Fashions on the Field at meet.
Country Racing Victoria said it was the Jumbuck resident's first Fashions on the Field win. Vanessa, 34, will go on to represent Latrobe Valley in the 2008 Country Best Dressed Racegoer competition against winners from other country race meetings during the Spring Racing Carnival.
"It is a great fun and I love to dress up. Country racing is a wonderful opportunity to show the city how stylish the girls are in the country," Vanessa said.
