ALMOST 30,000 hectares of forest in western Victoria has been declared national parkland. 

The Cobboboonee National Park and Cobboboonee Forest Park near Portland will cater for recreational activities like walking, camping, horse riding, vehicle touring and motorbike riding.

The Cobboboonee Forest Park will also be used for for sustainable harvesting of firewood.
