HIT show Farmer Wants a Wife has scored a marriage a season so far, with news that South Australian Rob Hodges is to marry Melbourne photographer Jo Fincham.
The couple met seven months ago on the romance reality show, and have been inseparable ever since, the Herald Sun reports.
According to this week's Woman's Day magazine, the couple were on holiday in Noosa Heads on the Sunshine Coast when Hodges surprised Fincham with the words: "Will You Marry Me?" written in the sand while she was swimming in the sea.
According to Hodges, his first attempt to write in the sand ended in disaster when a freak wave appeared and washed all his work away. Fortunately, his second attempt was more successful.
He'd also secretly designed a ring, which he'd had handmade at a Melbourne jeweller, and placed this on Fincham's towel for when she returned from the sea.
The couple is currently based in Melbourne but will be moving permanently to Hodges' farm in Mount Gambier at the end of the year.
