AWB Limited has paid more than $15 million in remuneration to two of its Geneva-based officers in the past two years.
According to AWB's results for 2007-08, former Geneva office manager Thierry Dubois was paid $6.57 million in 2006-07 and $6.75 million the following financial year.
And Mr Dubois' successor, Piero Ravano, was paid $2.18 million during 2007-08 after promotion from ship chartering manager to head of the Geneva office on January 16 this year.
Collectively, the pair earned about four times the remuneration of managing director Gordon Davis.
Mr Dubois resigned from the company on January 26 this year, taking a massive $6.5 million in termination pay.
The remuneration for Mr Ravano in 2007-08 included $1.76 million in bonuses.
He earned only $124,000 less than Mr Davis for the year.
Mr Ravano came under the spotlight during 2006 after allegations were made on ABC Radio that he had a conflict of interest in dealing with his father's ship-broking company while managing AWB's ship chartering operations from the Geneva office.
AWB corporate affairs general manager Robert Hadler said the payments to Mr Dubois and Mr Ravano were not excessive.
Mr Hadler said the remuneration and retirement payments were linked to the international division's $70 million in profits in 2006-07.
