PARTNERS in Grain wants new members for its reference group.

"The dynamic GRDC-funded group is looking for like-minded grains industry participants to put more 'ping' into the industry," Victoria-Tasmania co-ordinator Nickie Berrisford said.

"This could be your chance to influence the direction of this innovative program."

Ms Berrisford said PinG had run workshops on grain storage, and office and spray management during the past year.

Next year, the group was planning to further tackle office and storage issues as well as the increasing problem of volunteer burnout.

The first free workshop will be delivered by psychiatric nurse Chris Cummins at Bendigo in Victoria, on Wednesday, January 28.

"Chris is interested in rural farming communities and the drought's impact on families and whole communities," Ms Berrisford said.

"This workshop will encourage a greater awareness of the key issues and enhance resilience within the communities of each participant."
