AFTER an exodus of several Elders dairy specialists late last year, the company has joined forces with Northern Herd Development Co-op to provide on-farm advice and source stock.
The companies said NHD will operate as authorised Elders agents for dairy clients across northern and nort-eastern Victoria, southern New South Wales and in South Australia.
Elders general managers sales south, Shane Chisholm, said NHD would complement Elders’ trading business as it continued to “build dairy exports to markets such as China”.
In August last year, auctioneer Brian Leslie joined forces with several dairy specialists, formerly from Elders to form a new dairy cattle agency, called Dairy Livestock Services, which laid claim to being the first livestock agency solely devoted to selling dairy cows.
