THE Yea cattle farmer arrested on her own property for trying to stop construction of the north-south water pipeline last year appeared briefly in Seymour Magistrates Court today.
Deb Bertalli was charged with obstructing construction of the Sugarloaf Pipeline in September, after being marched off the family property by police.
Ms Bertalli is contesting the charge and the case has been adjourned until March 12.
Ms Bertalli was supported at her court appearance by about 20 members of anti-pipeline group Plug the Pipe.
The group's spokeswoman Jan Beer said Plug the Pipe supporters would be out in force when the hearing continues in March.
"We'll definitely want a big presence then," Ms Beer said.
The first court hearing into the private trespass prosecution of Melbourne Water staff by Yea farmer Don Lawson was also adjourned until March 12.
Ms Beer said two more landowners affected by the north-south pipeline had today served a summons on Melbourne Water staff for trespass.
