FOOD culture, the politics of the Middle East, climate change, life-changing travel and dysfunctional families will all be fodder for discussion at this year's Writers at the Convent Festival.
Held at the Abbotsford Convent on February 13, 14 and 15, guest speakers include bioethicist and philosopher, Peter Singer (talking about his new book addressing world poverty, The Life You Can Save), cartoonist Michael Leunig and Australian novelists including Sonya Hartnett and Robert Drewe.
To mark the festival, Country Living is giving away five book packs featuring novels from guest authors.
For your chance to win a book pack write to "Writer at the Convent", PO Box 14623, Melbourne 8001 or email countryliving@theweeklytimes.com.au with the subject line "Writers".
The competition closes February 13 and winners' names will be published on February 18.
For more details go to the Writers at the Convent website.
