V ICTORIAN Equestrian Federation member and Beijing Olympian Hayley Beresford scored a personal best score at the International Neumunster Show in Germany at the weekend.

Beresford, 30, is based at Rheinberg, Germany, preparing for the 2010 World Championships and the London 2012 Olympics.

Riding her Olympic horse, Relampago do Retiro, she placed sixth in the grand prix freestyle - a World Cup qualifier - with a personal best score of 74.50 per cent.

The event was won by Beresford's mentor and coach, Isabell Werth, from Germany, riding the horse she won the individual silver medal with at the Beijing Olympics, Satchmo, scoring 84.55 per cent.

Beresford also placed seventh in the grand prix with 68.13 per cent, with Werth again the winner scoring 76.72 per cent.

Riding her young horse, Roussoau, Beresford placed fifth in the prix St Georges scoring 65.79 per cent and then fifth in the Intermediate I scoring 66.28 per cent.
