DYNAPAC, part of the Atlas Copco Group, is bringing two new asphalt compaction rollers to Australia from Sweden.

The CC224HF (for the seven to eight-tonne class) and the CC424HF (10-tonne) are designed to cater to contractors, road contractors and rental companies.

National sales and marketing manager John Davison said the new rollers had "soft starting and stopping to prevent bowing or cracking in the asphalt layers".

"This feature, known as electronic drive control, is an Australian first and allows even unskilled roller operators to start and stop without leaving marks," John said.

"Another Australian first is the central water tank, with its 900-litre capacity.

"The tank's location gives the operator optional extra front and rear water tanks, giving a total water capacity of 1400 litres."

The Dynapac CC224 is powered by a Cummins QSB 3.3-litre water-cooled turbo-diesel engine, rated at 60kW at 2200rpm.

The CC424 uses a Cummins QSB 4.5-litre turbo-diesel engine, rated at 82kW or 93kW at 2200rpm.

A CC424 will be on display at ACE 2009.

Dynapac will also have the full range of its solid body hydraulic hammers for excavators up to 15 tonnes.

This range has been launched over the past four years and is now complete with the SB452.

It will be on display for the first time in Australia at Sandown.
