AUSTRALIA'S leading jumping rider, Edwina Alexander from Glenhaven, competed at the Monte-Carlo International Five Star show at the weekend.

She placed 10th in the 1.60m $500,000 Monte Carlo du Prince Albert Grand Prix riding her eight-year-old horse, Zorro Z.

The Grand prix was won by US gold medalist Richard Spooner, riding Cristallo.

In the 1.50m jump off class and riding Isovlas Late Night, Alexander placed 6th. She stays in 5th position on the overall Global Champions Tour leader board.

Australia's National Young Rider of the Year, Jamie Winning from Ebenezer, also competed at Monte-Carlo, placing 4th and 7th in the 1.30m Amateur final riding Congo Z and Triomphe De Muze.

Alexander and Winning head to Aachen in Germany for the International Five Star show this weekend.
