INNOVATION in Victoria's North East will be in the spotlight at a farm forum next month.

The Australian Alpine Valleys Agribusiness Forum will host the event at Whorouly on October 14.

Speakers will include Stanley apple grower Henry Hilton who will address marketing and value adding and Brian Holmes, of the Victorian Department of Primary Industries, who will provide insights on irrigation technologies.

Beechworth brewer Ben Krause will speak on tapping into the tourist market, while Gundowring dairy farmer Sarah Crooke will outline innovation and marketing.

The dinner guest speaker will be Goulburn Valley orchardist John Corboy.
