GOLDACRES will display a new line of diesel transfer units, specifically designed for use on dual cab and single cab tray utilities, at the Wandin-Silvan field days.
The new Pathway 450-litre and 800-litre transfer units provide a neat fit with good weight distribution on to the tray of utes, according to GoldAcres' Pathway products sales manager Bruce McIntosh.
"The 450-litre unit fits between the wheel arches on most dual cab bodies, leaving operators plenty of room for other items," Bruce said.
The units come with a lockable cap, earth strap and internal strainer and can be supplied as a complete kit with a dual-voltage 12/24-volt diesel pump with 4m battery cables and auto shut-off gun.
"The dispensing gun's nozzle lever has three different flow positions for hands-free operation and it has a swivel that ensures it is always able to be held at the correct angle for dispensing the diesel," Bruce said.
"The gun has a steel mounting holder that can lock up the nozzle for security.
"For added security, we don't use hose clamps - we only have swaged fittings on the dispensing hose.
"An important factor with the tanks is that they are constructed from diesel-grade polyethylene.
"This means operators won't get diesel seeping through the tanks on to their hands or clothes, unlike some other types of tanks."
The tanks have a self-draining top to prevent the pooling of contaminants.
The larger 800-litre tank has an internal baffle to avoid excessive liquid movement during transport.
A suction foot valve on all models ensures efficient priming of the pump.
Bruce said the diesel transfer units were backed by the Pathway one-year warranty.
"All Pathway products have extensive product testing, before they leave the factory," he said.
