IT WOULD be great if my town had a chipper or mulcher at our tip, as I despair each time I see the mountain of green waste heaped and ready to burn there.

It's such an unnecessary waste in this day and age for it not to be used efficiently in the garden, to hold moisture, improve the garden and keep the weeds at bay without poison.

Orbost is a garden-conscious town and I am proud of how neat and tidy it is.

There are many keen gardeners in our town who would benefit from a mulcher and chipper and perhaps this machine could be shared throughout the shire.

The tip would return back to the community a great commodity.
