ALL-conquering Ovens and Murray league team Albury will kick off next season without six of this year's premiership players.
Hard-hitting midfielder Ben Fixter became the latest Tigers casualty when he signed with Riverina league club Coolamon recently.
Fixter played 54 games for the Sydney Swans and Brisbane Lions from 2000-07 but his AFL career was hampered by injuries.
He joined Albury this season after representing Labrador in the AFL Queensland competition last year.
Fixter's decision to leave the Tigers, who were undefeated this year, follows the departure of Jay Koehler, Luke Heyme, Jayden Kotzur, Trent Castles and Ed Clark.
Koehler, a key defender and VCFL under-19 representative this season, will play for his former club, Howlong, in the Hume league.
Kotzur, Albury's co-captain, and Heyme are travelling overseas next year, while tall forward Trent Castles will return to his former club Jindera, in the Hume league.
Albury is set to meet this season's runner-up, Yarrawonga, in a blockbuster opening round match on Easter Sunday next year.
