WHEN Sparra travels in his horse-drawn gypsy wagon, he sells fly swats to raise money for Yarrawonga's Friends in Common.
The voluntary group started eight years ago and is run by nearly 30 people, including Sparra, who raise money for cancer sufferers.
Friends in Common founding member Marj Haebich says every year they give about $50,000 to sufferers around the Yarrawonga, Tungamah, Mulwala, Rennie and Bundalong district.
"We help with travel costs or pay for a car for those having treatment in Albury/Wodonga and in some cases, help with radiation costs," Marj says.
"One of our members is allotted to a person and they look after them one-on-one."
The group fundraises in many ways, from fashion parades to sausage sizzles: "anything and everything".
They have just released a nude 2010 calendar of Yarrawonga's tradies.
If you would like a calendar or to donate, write to Marj Haebich, 50 Cahills Rd, Yarrawonga 3730.
The calendar is $22, including postage.
