Some mongrel pinched the spare wheel off the St Vincent de Paul ute in Echuca recently, leaving the volunteers shaking their heads in disbelief.

An appeal to the thief's conscience  in the local paper went unanswered, but some Good Samaritans came to the rescue.

One battler turned up with a spare he was able to spare and then Ross Griffiths from the local RSL arranged a new one.
