BURRA Foods suppliers will receive a boost in their milk cheques later this month, with the company announcing another step-up in its farmgate milk price.

Burra has lifted its prices by 4c/kg for butterfat and 10c/kg for protein.

The step-up is effective from November 1 and will be paid retrospectively on December 15 for premium and base quality milk supplied from July 1.

The company also announced an increase to its seasonal incentives for milk produced from January to June next year.

The latest step-up follows Burra's rises of 12c/kg butterfat and 30c/kg protein in October and 7c/kg butterfat and 17c/kg protein in August.
