SPRAY contractor and trainer Craig Day has been awarded a fellowships to study sprayer testing and certification in Europe.

The fellowship was awarded by the Pratt Foundation International Specialised Skills Institute.

Mr Day, who farms near Cowra, in NSW, works with the Grains Industry Training Network on "Don't be a Drifter" workshops.

Grains Industry Training Network executive officer Nickie Berrisford said the Don't be a Drifter workshops helped farmers reduce spray drift and save money by using fewer chemicals.
