LOOKS like technology has finally caught with up with that fine old tradition of wagging school.
Once upon a time you could skive off and parents wouldn't know until the next day, when a "please explain" note came home, by which time you had thought up a good excuse.
Well not any more - well, not at Chaffey College in Mildura, anyway. The school has announced plans to SMS parents if their offspring fail to show, as soon as the electronic roll is marked.
Children can expect a curt "Whr RU!" plus angry emoticon, on their mobiles within seconds.
