Rod bought the 89ha property more than 20 years ago when it was "just a paddock with a little cottage".
Since then, Rod, with the help of his family, has renovated the cottage, built a dam and improved the pastures and soil.
"It's quite productive," Rod said.
"We've put work into it. We built the dam on it and put a main line up through the centre of the property so you can irrigate most of the property from the central underground main line."

"We have very good rainfall and the pastures have been well developed and now have an extensive fertiliser history," Rod said.
