TYRE and track manufacturer Solideal has expanded its range of agricultural rubber tracks for the Australian market.

Made specifically for twin-tracked tractors, the Tiger and Leopard series of tracks and rollers can make ideal replacements for many well-known brands of tractor such as John Deere, Caterpillar, Challenger and Claas.

The new tracks are available through specialist Bearcat Tyres retailers.

Bearcat Tyres marketing and business development manager Glen Wolfenden said primary producers may be surprised to know they now have an alternative supplier of rubber tracks for their vehicles.

"With the arrival of the Tiger and Leopard series of rubber tracks and rollers, there is now a track available for virtually every twin-tracked tractor in Australia," Glen said.

"The rubber tracks are made to the highest quality standards and there are several grades to suit different requirements," Glen said.

The Leopard series of tracks are made for high mileage and flotation and well suited to general farm use, according to Glen.

"There are two standards of Leopard tracks, the HD, which has five plies in the track and the standard, which has four plies.

These are ideal for all-purpose farm work such as haulage and tillage. The Tiger series of tracks also has HD models, which have six plies in the track. The standard Tiger track has five plies.

"The Tiger tracks are made for high traction and strong, positive drive work such as earthmoving or large scraper-type tracked vehicles," Glen said.

Both series of tracks feature extremely strong construction techniques, according to Glen.

"The Solideal tracks are built from the inside out.

" They start with steel cables, which are wound symmetrically to ensure a true guide on the track's undercarriage.

"Then the guiding lugs and tread bars are molded into the track, which reduces the risk of lugs breaking off."

Glen said the Solideal tracks are also backed by a comprehensive warranty.
