I LIVE in the Riverland of South Australia, 60km from the Victorian border.
The Weekly Times is well-read in our house, as we don't have a rural paper like it in SA.
I read Miranda's column first.
If I have had a bad day or am not feeling the best, her column picks me up again. Maybe someone has written in with bigger problems than mine and I feel guilty for getting so low or worrying about water, or perhaps someone has written in with a wonderful and happy story.
So Miranda, keep it up, we all need you to brighten our day.
Pity more papers don't have more concerns for people on the land trying to grow food, instead of importing it.
Rural people across Australia are treated like second-class citizens - too bad when we haven't any food or water left.
