ALMOST 6500 Angus bulls sold at auctions nationally in 2009, according to latest figures from Angus Australia.
The 6495 bulls averaged a healthy $4175, slightly up on last year's $4126 average across 6836 bulls.
The 7527 commercial Angus cattle sold online through AngusPlus this year grossed almost $4 million with a 95 per cent clearance.
In three years, 20,828 Angus have grossed $12.3 million on AngusPlus.
American sire evaluation
THE American Angus Association has released its spring 2010 sire evaluation report, which lists performance data on 2190 sires from a total of 202,048 sires in the AAA database.
The Young Sire Supplement is also included in the report and lists 2417 bulls.
