WHITE Hut Olives has been strategically developed by its current owners to make it a remarkable enterprise.

The vendors purchased the South Australian property nine years ago and planted the first olive trees in 2003. It now boasts more than 8700 trees under dripper irrigation.

Selling agent Dylan Strong said the vendors sold the bulk of their produce to a nearby olive processing plant.

"I think this would be one of the most productive farms in the Mypolonga area (north of Murray Bridge)," Dylan said.

The business produces olives of table and oil qualities. Varieties include kalamata, mediterranean, zapra, jumbo kalamata and manzanilla.

Olive trees are planted on 34ha of the property. The remaining land is suited for cropping or grazing.

Dylan said the soil was comprised mostly of grey and brown loam over clay, with some lighter areas.

The property is serviced by single-phase power, a Central Irrigation Trust outlet and mains water.

There is modest living quarters on site as well as shedding, however, there are several potential sites for a house with views of the Adelaide Hills.
