DRUG running is about to occur in the Western District, and the police will do nothing about it.

It has got so easy to secure drugs that they can actually be delivered to your door.

Sound worrying? Well, not worrying, but ingenious really.

Lismore had a pharmacy branch - an outpost from one at Mortlake - but it closed last week.

The solution was provided by the Mortlake pharmacist Stuart Baker, who will now use the same courier service which used to deliver prescriptions to the shop, to deliver the medications to patients' doors.

Hats off to Stuart for finding a solution, rather than simply throwing up his hands and letting his clients find their own way.
