GOULBURN Murray Water has extended an olive branch to the suspended Pyramid-Boort Water Service committee and asked members to apply for a new interim reference group.
GMW will soon begin interviewing for an interim customer reference group to replace the committee.
The interim group will replace the outspoken irrigator-elected committee, which was suspended last month, until at least July this year.
In an open letter to the recent community meeting at Pyramid Hill, GMW advised that all members of the suspended committee could apply for the interim Community Reference Group and a future Water Services Committee.
Last month, Mr Mills said the committee had been suspended because it was dysfunctional and its members were unable to work with each other, GMW and others.
The suspension was described by Victorian Farmers Federation water council chairman Richard Anderson as undemocratic.
Boort irrigator Neil Beattie will join GMW chairman Stephen Mills and managing director David Stewart on the interview panel.
