IT seems it's not so easy to get money out of the bank in Colac.
There are reports that a privately-run cash-dispensing machine in Colac is happy to take your card, accept you want to take out money, but give nothing in return.
One man claims that he is down $340, and when he contacted the company, it told him to file a complaint through his bank. A month later, he is still out of pocket.
There are evidently others who have also been short changed, though the company concerned maintains there are no problems.
We all know that ATMs can be fast and convenient, but it's hard to negotiate with a piece of machinery.
