THE Wimmera might take the mantle for playing home to Australia's oldest hoon.
An 80-year-old is due to go to court today facing charges that he travelled at speeds of up to 160km/h.
And he allegedly told police he had been "going faster" before he was caught.
The speeding offence was not just a flash in the pan.
Police followed the driver for more than 20km at speeds of about 150km/h before another police car was called and clocked the massive speed.
