A WOMAN has died after her car crashed into the back of another vehicle, sending her car spearing into a power pole in Bendigo, Victoria.
Police believe the 33-year-old victim was travelling north along busy High Street in Golden Square, a suburb of Bendigo, when she struck the back of a car travelling in the same direction about 11.30pm yesterday.
Her car then veered of the road and into a power police, coming to rest in the front yard of a house.
The woman, of Golden Square, died at the scene.
The driver of the other car was unhurt.
Police are investigating whether speed or inattention may have contributed to the accident.
They will prepare a report for the coroner.
The woman's death takes Victoria's annual road toll to 25, six fewer than at the same time last year.
