WHEN Keith and Carole Corr retired to their property, Corralla, in 2008 they did not think they would ever move again.

But a new business venture in Bairnsdale has resulted in a regretful move from their much-loved home.

''It is with great sadness that we are making the move but simply the more than four hours that it takes to commute from Yarck to Bairnsdale means that we have elected to relocate," Keith said.

Keith and Carole bought Corralla in 1999 as bare farm land.

During the past decade, they have spent a large amount of time and money to get the property to the high standard it is at today.

Corralla has been divided into 10 fenced paddocks, all with excellent pastures, and has a double frontage to Home Creek, with a 15-megalitre winter-fill licence.

Corralla has a large, four-bedroom homestead, with wide verandas.

It has been designed to overlook the sweeping lawns, established garden and large, ornamental lake.

"Last summer, the latest kitchen appliances were added, in a majorupgrade that includes a three-phase, zoned air-conditioning system through the house," Keith said.

"A real benefit is that you can see the entire property from the veranda."

Farm infrastructure includes several machinery sheds, a hay shed and cattle yards that are in excellent condition.

At Corralla, the Corrs produce Angus weaner cattle, which have a good history at cattle sales in the district.

"I consider Corralla offers the unique combination of idyllic surroundings, a quality home of significance with all the infrastructure and improvements ready to continue agricultural pursuits," Keith said.

Corralla is located between Yea and Alexandra, about 2km south of the Yarck village.
