THE Australia Day Jumping Festival saw four days of exciting competition at the world class Tonimbuk Equestrian complex.
Sydney Olympian Gavin Chester from Sale designed the courses for the four-day indoor event.
Tiffany Joyce, from Jumbuna, riding LH Brittney, won the under-18 junior championship and the under-21 young rider championship to be declared the overall young rider champion .
The under-14 junior title went to Jamie Ellis, from Coldstream, riding Altication.
Local rider Simone Tanis won the amateur championship, riding Somerwaters Petite.
The height class championship winners were: Nicole Gibbs from Lakes Entrance, riding SR Kookaburra; Sam Williams from Tonimbuk, riding HR Saltbush; Melissa Froesch from Broadford, riding Hedge; Bill Chrisanis from Mornington, riding Dazzling Oak; Russell Hearn from Benalla, riding Luxenberg; and Kelvin Blumsen from Yarra Glen, riding Hendricksen.
Qualifying event winners were: Robyn Brown from Cranbourne; Megan Joyce from Berwick; Steph Cumming from Sale; Jenny Parlevliet from Launching Place; Magenta Horney from Somerville; Kathy Minchin from Berwick; Paul Brent from Healesville; Edward Watt from Pakenham; and Laurie Lever from Somerville.
