COASTAL living in a relaxed semi-rural environment is a feature of this beautiful home in Foster.
Fran and Bob Brewster bought the block of land in 1993 and began building their large, open-plan three-bedroom house not long after.

"Initially we created it more as a weekend proposition, but then decided we wanted to be there longer term so we moved and made the change," Fran said.
"When we bought the block, we were absolutely blown away by the magnificent views.
"We had holidayed in this area before and thought we were so lucky to get a block like this."
The house has been designed to take in the magnificent coastal and scenic views.
"The house is a bit like a boomerang shape so it picks up the views with very large picture windows," Fran said.
"We do get the most beautiful sunrises ... we get the colours of the water of Waratah Bay and various inlets in them."
Picture windows open on to expansive verandah and decking areas.
"It's great for entertaining and in some ways it's kind of a house for all the seasons," Fran said.
"We have sheltered decked areas that enable you to have a quieter, more secluded barbecue away from the wind."
The property has three large-sized bedrooms, the main with spa ensuite, a huge designer kitchen and polished timber floors throughout.
The unique pinkish colour of the house was given to give it a "beach feel".
"We chose those colours because they give it a more coastal feel," Fran said.
"It's not a traditional house and we wanted to keep it with plenty of colour."
Fran said although the house was ready to move into, the future owner could put their own touch on the property.
"It's a house that's got great bones and anybody coming in can put their own touches on it if they would like," she said.
"We'll miss it greatly and we've had a lot of good times here.
"We'd like to see someone come in who loves it as much as we do."
The property is located only minutes from Waratah Bay and Sandy Point beaches and under three hours from Melbourne.
