A SENATE inquiry will be held into the native vegetation laws.
The inquiry will be advertised next week and submissions called for.
Hearings are likely to be held in rural cities like Wagga, Rockhampton, Tamworth and Shepparton.
Nationals senate leader Barnaby Joyce said the Nationals had played a ``lead role’’ in bringing about the inquiry.
Senator Joyce called on affected landholders to be ``part of the process in delivering a suitable outcome’’.
