TRY this delicious recipe for sweet and sour chicken, sent in by Marlene Ford of Smeaton.
SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN
- 500g boneless chicken, cubed
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 tbspn oil
- 425g pineapple pieces
- 1 pkt chicken noodle soup
- 2 tbspns vinegar
- 1 tbspn brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
Brown the chicken and onion in the oil. Add the pineapple, soup, vinegar, brown sugar and water. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, adding the green pepper for the last five minutes. Serve with rice.
