I AGREE with you in your comments about Facebook and MySpace "Face up to the next chapter", (WT, November 25), and as I have a 15-year-old step-daughter, I think it is important I learn all about it.
As a step-mum you don't get told much.
On Facebook I have learnt that she has a boyfriend (and her mother didn't even know), and in some of the surveys she has done, her answers just plain scare me.
I think she put me on her "limited access list" as I can't see all of what she is doing.
It's great that people keep in contact but what happened to a coffee down the street? I miss that.
Anyway, I could go on for hours about the good and bad but, as a mum, I will be keeping up to date so I can keep an eye on her and my eight-year-old, I suppose he will want a profile soon.
