DEPENDING on which footy team you follow a dead magpie can either be a tragedy or a thing of beauty.
This unfortunate specimen (pictured right) fell foul of the overhead powerlines at Tatong in North East Victoria.
Local St Kilda fanatic Brian Ritchie reckons the fried maggie is an ominous sign for Collingwood fans for the upcoming 2010 season.
