BETTY and Kevin Phillips bought their property on the highly sought-after Wharparilla Rd in Echuca 20 years ago with semi-retirement in mind.
It is only now they are entering full retirement and looking to scale back that they have regretfully put the property on the market.

"We're in our seventies now so we're just needing something a bit smaller," Betty said.
"If age hadn't caught up with us then we probably wouldn't be leaving."
The property, which boasts Murray River frontage, has a large four-bedroom home at the front of the block.
A big backyard and gardens lead down to the river bank.
The house features a main bedroom with ensuite, as well as a study, large lounge room, kitchen and dining area and a separate second living area.
"There's lots of light that comes in (to the house) and there's a rose garden out the back you can look out at while you're having a meal," Betty said.
She said properties with absolute river frontage were hard to come by, and she and Kevin had enjoyed the serenity the area offered.
"There's lots of nice families and children in the area now," she said.
"It's a pretty little spot and you can most definitely fish from the bank of river at the back of our house."
The property is five minutes from the centre of Echuca and 192km from Melbourne.
