ANDREW Inglis from Maroota continued his consistent form at the Nowra Show on the south coast of NSW last weekend.

Inglis was riding Regal Status, owned by former Victorian Peter Grant  when he won the A and B grade jump off class and then took out the Tyco Flow Control grand prix.

Vicki Roycroft from Mt White won Friday's A and B grade, riding NP Cougar; local Aaron Hadlow won the B and C grade, riding Presnet Whim; Jamie Grant from Canberra won the C grade, riding Vidette and Greer Butcher from Pheasant Nest won the Edmiston Jones Architects class.

Sydney Roberts from Nowra won the Shoalhaven Ex-serviceman's Club class from 70 starters, while Victoria's Ingrid Williamson from Malvern was the runner up, riding the lovely grey mare WAT Sword.

Other winners at Nowra were Ben Blay from Mt White, Nathan Williams from Bega and Nickacla Malby from Berry.

The course was designed by Warren Priestly, from Nowra.

Jumping with the stars

EDWARD Doyle, international jumping rider, trainer and breeder from Ireland will attend this year's PSI Dressage and Jumping with the Stars to be held at Werribee Park from March 18-21.

Edward brings with him a depth of knowledge and experience gained from a lifetime of involvement in jumping.

He is a member of the famous Doyle family, a household name in the Irish jumping community.

His father, Ned, is a showjumping judge, his elder brother, Jack, rode for Ireland at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and Edward's son, Edward junior, is continuing the family tradition having represented Ireland in the European Children's Championships aged 16.

Edward's jumping career began with an appearance at the European Young Rider Championships in the mid 1980s.

He has been the Irish national champion twice, was a member of the Irish team at the 1999 European Championships, was runner up in the famous Hickstead Derby and has won international classes at prestigious shows such as Calgary, Dublin, Hickstead and Millstreet.

A regular Irish Team squad member since 2000, he has made many Nations Cup appearances and lists a career highlight as captaining the winning Irish team at the Athens CSIO in 2000.

In recent years he has competed in the Samsung Super League series, representing Ireland.

At the 2010 Dressage and Jumping with the Stars, Edward will head the judging panel for the young jumping horse classes, and conduct the jumping masterclass on Saturday March 20, with horses selected from the young jumping horse classes.

He will ride each age group winner to determine the champion of champions.

A two-day clinic to be held on March 20-21, following DJWTS, is open to all showjumping riders.

Summer Jumping Championships

MELBOURNE Showjumping Club will conduct its Summer Jumping Championships at "Sherwood", the home of the Oaklands Hunt Club on Saturday, March 6.

Competitions will start at 60cm and run to to 1.20m, catering for all levels.

The courses will be designed by David Sheppard from Ballarat, Jenny Muir from Arthurs Creek and Amanda Day from Kilmore.
